Maybe they don't know enough about the history of women's hockey to believe women's hockey has talent and credibility.
That's where we'd like to introduce trailblazers like Abi Hoffman. At nine years old, Hoffman was refused from a boys hockey league; thus, she decided to cut her hair and change her name to 'Ab' to play in the boys league. However, the league later found out she was a girl and expelled her from playing, even though she was a star - A true representative of what it means to be beautifully brave. Just like a shield maiden, she competed for respect among boys/men while succeeding on the ice.
