Detecting greenhouse gases is critical to reducing emissions. With the #OpticaFoundation Challenge grant, Yicheng Wang, Ruhr-Universität-Bochum, is developing a new sensor using Holmium-based laser systems to detect greenhouse gases in the 2-micron wavelength region. The solution will allow for increased sensing power and stability while being compact and simple.
