Sandra Helena Alves Da Silva puts out apples at Pan de Vida in Little Village on Nov. 1. Alves Da Silva started coming to the food pantry around May 2023, and now she said she is happy to be working at the store and giving back to her community. Pan de Vida has played a crucial role in providing food to its neighbors since 2010.
