Penn State's Center for the Performing Arts hosted a choral tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at Eisenhower Auditorium on Saturday. The night's events were loosely based on a concert series hosted in Washington D.C. in 1990 which featured local high schools, universities and church communities coming together to honor King’s legacy. The night began with a performance from Essence of Joy and Essence 2, Ltd. led by Anthony Leach, a Penn State alumnus. The choir specialized in sacred and secular music from African American culture.
