In PME’s Quantum Engineering Laboratory at @uchicago, undergraduates get to learn what it’s like to work with state-of-the-art quantum systems. The course currently offers students a chance to develop hands-on experience on three different state-of-the-art quantum engineering platforms, including entangled photons, ultracold atoms and nitrogen-vacancy centers. “We are creating a first-in-the-nation undergraduate program in quantum engineering,” said Asst. Prof. Alex High , who designed the course along with Asst.
