Downing Street has been forced to rule out conscription after rumours began circulating of a return.⁠ ⁠ The head of the Army recently reportedly warned the government that British civilians would need to fight Russia in a future war.⁠ ⁠ On Wednesday, the Prime Minister’s official spokesman said when asked about the possibility of conscription, he said: ⁠ ⁠ 🗣️ “The British military has a proud position of being a voluntary force.
