One of my goals for 2024 was to run a half-marathon as a way to ring in my birthday. I wanted to prove to myself that I could still do it in my old age 🤪 While it was not the prettiest race performance-wise, I’m glad that I did it considering that it has been 7 years since my last half-marathon. It’s crazy to think I used to do these almost every year after college but of course life happens and a whole pandemic changes everything. The two most important lessons I’ve learned over the past few years is to give yourself grace when you make mistakes or when things don’t go the way you planned. It’s never easy but I try to remind myself this every day. And lastly…to always have an attitude of gratitude.
