It was an honor to present John Schlifske, NorthwesternMutual’s Chairman, President & CEO the Childhood Cancer Lifetime Achievement Award at tonight’s #LemonBall!💛 Under John’s leadership in 2012, Northwestern Mutual and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation officially partnered, and their impact has been felt by childhood cancer families and researchers ever since. Through the Northwestern Mutual Foundation and Northwestern Mutual’s network of financial advisors, more than $50 million has been raised to fight childhood cancer (with $30 million of that contributed to ALSF) and 600,000+ hours of research have been funded. John has been an encouraging and driving force behind this movement within the company, inspiring other Northwestern Mutual financial representatives from across the country to rally together, putting on events in their local communities to raise funds and awareness for kids with cancer.
