East students wearing “Beat Rock” shirts made by the student store began lining up outside the school doors at 3:30p.m., waiting to be the first ones in the gym for seats to the boys varsity basketball game against SM East rival Rockhurst High School. The Lancers led the first quarter of the game 13-11 before falling behind 31-28 at the end of the half. The Lancers continued to trail the Hawklets at the end of the third quarter, 51-41.
