The Berkeley Police Accountability Board, or PAB, elected John “Chip” Moore III as chair and Leah Wilson as vice chair for 2024 during a meeting Wednesday. The board also discussed the installment of surveillance cameras and the use of force in handcuffs. Moore was elected by acclamation and ran unopposed; he was nominated for the position by board member Kitty Calavita. Moore also serves as a city of Berkeley planning commissioner and was the former chair of Berkeley’s BART Community Advisory Group.
