Day 12 at the Winter Youth Olympics and wow, this one was a wonderful surprise. If you saw my IG story behind the scenes I had the morning break & planned enough time to take the hour bus up into the Pyeongchang mountains (the birthplace of Korean skiing) and make it back before the afternoon / evening curling sessions.⁣ ⁣ Originally my goal was to see the Nordic Combined but turns out it was only a training day. Luckily it wasn’t a waste of a trip because about half a mile away I was able to get myself positioned for the Cross Country Ski 7.5km gold medal race.⁣ ⁣ I worked my way around the outside of the course, framing what I could to show off the beautiful backgrounds & elements. I was able to hit about 5 different shoot locations during this race to add to the mix of images.
