The number of enrolled undergraduates rose to 233,272 from 230,407 the year before, the highest in university history. Of these undergraduates, 83.4% are California residents. This enrollment cycle, the university continued to deliver on its goal of increasing resident enrollment, intending to enroll 8,000 more California resident undergraduates before 2027-28.
