Due to the fact that I did not post during our series sweep against the Giants, here's what went down these past few days. On Monday in game 1, Ryan Vogelsong made the return to his former team's stadium and was greeted by a big ovation. Vogelsong pitched good enough for the win, but it definitely wasn't his greatest stuff. His line: 5.2 IP, 9 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, SO. Andrew McCutchen did well, driving in 2 runs on 2 hits. Gregory Polanco collected 4 RBI and a HR to lead the Pirates to victory 8-5. In game 2 of the series, Jameson Taillon took the hill and pitched really well after a rough first inning. His line: 6 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, BB, 5 SO. Gregory Polanco drove in 2 while Jung Ho Kang hit a go ahead HR in the 8th inning as the Bucs beat the Giants 4-3. Finally, in the series finale, Ivan Nova and the Pirates couldn't get anything going early, trailing 4-0 in the first few innings.
