Michigan mom Jennifer Crumbley took the stand in her own defense Thursday in a case where she and her husband are accused of involuntary manslaughter for the deaths of four high school students shot and killed by her then-15-year-old son Ethan Crumbley in November 2021. Crumbley broke down while testifying, answering questions about her relationship with her son and what she did or didn't do in response to his cries for help. It's an unusual case and the first time a parent is being charged over a student's shooting.
