Hello everybody, meet Mel. 👋 Mel is a PSO Acting Sergeant, currently within the Protective Services Unit. She also proudly wears the title of LGBTIQA+ Liaison Officer (LLO) - one of nearly 500 at Victoria Police. A PSO for seven years, we met Mel at the steps of Parliament House (where you’ll often find her) ahead of this weekend's Midsumma Pride March in St Kilda. 🌈: What do you love about your job MK: I love the variety, not every day is the same. Even though I am at the same location, there is always something different going on. I like talking to the community, hearing their stories, and providing any assistance if required. Also having the opportunity to be part of the LLOs and attend events to promote Victoria Police as an inclusive and safe organisation. 🌈: Tell us about the role of an LLO.
