The ninth Portland Winter Light Festival kicked off Friday night at Pioneer Courthouse Square with erupting fire-driven performances and interactive light-driven art installations across the city. The free event features about 170 art installations along with food carts and live music. Some key sights include a 14-foot sculpture at Salmon Springs Fountain, the tesseract cube at the World Trade Center, a LED drag show, the Illuminated Bike Ride, the Little Luminaries Procession, the LED Hula Hoop Flash Mob and the Fun Luv’n Silent Disco.
