I wasn’t much of an athlete as a kid so it’s funny I’ve found a career in sports. Having all boys, most of my exposure to athletes was through their experiences but once I started covering games for suburbanonesports, I had the opportunity to learn more about women’s sports and I can’t help but feel maybe I missed out on something in my youth. But I’m here for it now and spoiler alert: as much as I love covering the boys sports since I still have one in HS, I have a real soft spot for women’s sports and field hockey has actually become one of my favorites.
