“Build a relationship with a journalist!” they say. But WTF does that mean? I remember thinking exactly that back in 2016 when I started networking with the media. “I’m not flippin Samantha Jones in big gold jewellery and fur coats swanning down Park Avenue.” But then I did it. I landed 12 media features in 14 months in places like Harvard Business Review, Cosmopolitan, The Telegraph, Sunday Times Style, Red Magazine, Guardian. How the f**k did I do it? I applied the one trick I used in my 17 year Management Consulting career in the city.  (No, that’s not it!). It’s so simple yet OVERLOOKED the WHOLE time.
