Hinton. When the curtain first went up on my performing arts journey, I just wanted to be you. Before Harold and before Gregory, for me…there was you. To sing like you, to kick like you, to leap and make these magnificent pictures in the air like you, that was it. Uncle Dipsey was the bar. And since the age of 10 until now, you have always been an inspiration and an artistic beacon to me. We have lost so many talented artists and beautiful souls over these last few months. Ron Cephas Jones, Andre Braugher, Maurice Hines, Chita Rivera, Carl Weathers; the list goes on. But I could not let this moment in time pass without acknowledging the bright and shining light that is you. Thank you for sharing your brilliance, artistry and your life with us Hinton. From the Broadway stage to the great beyond you have made a phenomenal impact and inspired a generation of artists.
