Jayson Green has committed to play football for Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. He was recruited as a Defensive End for the Ichabods who compete in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA). Green has been a starter for our Raider Varsity team for the last three years, giving up just three sacks in those three years on the O-line. He received All-Region Honors in both his Junior and Senior Years. Green has been playing football since he was young. He started with the Dunbar Broncos and played in Riverwood’s Junior Raiders program. Green is also a member of this year’s Varsity Basketball team and has enjoyed working on community service projects with his football teammates, including making sandwiches for food-insecure families through the Sandwich Project, and helping with Riverwood Football’s Summer Camp for local kids.
