Kayden Colbert has committed to play lacrosse for Virginia State University (VSU) in Petersburg, Virginia. He was recruited as a long-stick midfielder for the Trojans, who compete in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association. VSU became the third HBCU with an active Varsity Men’s program when they added their Lacrosse program in 2022, so Colbert will be playing in the team’s second season and helping to build the program from the ground up. Colbert has been playing lacrosse since he was 11 and has been a starter for the Raider Lacrosse team for the last three of his four years on the team. He has played in numerous leagues throughout the Metro, most recently with Team 91. He also played two years of Football for Riverwood and was a member of the Black Student Union.
