Some very memorable images from another memorable night for canisiushsswim: The Crusaders dominated as they won the program’s 22nd straight All-Catholic Championship Wednesday night.
Canisius won 10 of the 11 events and amassed 370 points to take the title ahead of St. Francis (324) and St. Joe’s (269).
Canisius won all three relays and had individual wins from Erik Parkes ’24 of Niagara Falls (100 free, 200 free), Atticus Young ’26 of Buffalo (100 breast, 500 free), Ryan Stravino ’24 of Grand Island (50 free), Peter Peyser ’25 of Williamsville (200 IM) and Gabe Russell-Webster ’27 of Amherst (100 back).
The team celebrated by nudging coach Christian Balkin ’18 into the pool for a celebratory splash.
