Does karma and drinking out of single-use plastic go hand in hand?
It's common knowledge that single-use plastic harms our marine ecosystem, but that's not all. As plastic degrades, it breaks down into microplastics, which are less than five millimeters long.
Research is now finding that if you drink from single-use plastic bottles, you can ingest an additional 90,000 microplastic particles, but this does not include the amount of microplastics inhaled by the air or other sources.
