As a pitcher, the position itself holds a tremendous amount of pressure. When I’m in the circle, I lock into a “you’re not going to beat me” mentality but still keep in mind the confidence I have in my teammates behind me. Although personal success feel great, being able to turn around and pat a teammate on the back for their accomplishments is my favorite. I love watching a great play develop, knowing the countless hours of work that we put in for a few seconds of greatness, that will always be the best feeling as a pitcher.
