This week I'm in Athens, Georgia for a photography conference. On day two, we ended the afternoon with the nikonusa shootout. This annual event has a firm set of rules of JPEG only, no post-processing, and resolution at 3000 pixels on the long side. The topic was lights and shadows. After everything was announced we were off, with only two days to take the photo. While out around campus I found these friends just hanging out. The guy told me I had a great smile. The idea came into my head to see if we could stage a photo. So I asked him to skate towards me, and high-five his friend. I focused on the girl's hand, and when he skated to the spot, I snapped off a few shots and I took this. Will this be my submission, I'm not still not sure.
