Lately I have been getting so many questions on how to paint your own flat lay styling mat, so I figured I would make a short tutorial on how I do it. Of course, this isn’t near any professional level, this is just how I have learned to do it myself! There are definitely tons of other ways you can do it, but this one works best for me! 🎨 ✨ 💕 Here’s what you’ll need: ⁃ 🖌️Paint brushes (wider mouth to cover canvas surface) ⁃ 🎨 Acrylic paint (a lot of white if you want a lighter-colored mat, plus the main color you want it to be) ⁃ 🍽️Paper plate ⁃ 🧽Sponge ⁃ 🖌️Canvas Roll (you can get one at Michaels or Joanns!) 1. Mix your colors together to achieve the color you’d like as your “base color” for the mat. 2. Paint your base color on the mat, with the paint stroke in one direction (either up and down or side to side). 3.
