Meet ALEC YAGEY on this #MajorMonday! Alec is a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student! 🐊Why you chose your major? I chose to study engineering because of my desire to understand the way the world works. Mechanical engineering in particular piqued my interest due to its versatility and the key role its principles play in so many aspects of modern life. 🐊What you plan to do with it in the future? Mechanical engineering is all about solving problems and while I’m not exactly sure what my future holds, I’m confident solving problems to help the world around me will be an integral part of it. 🐊What you enjoy most about working within your major at UF? I’ve enjoyed the amazing opportunities I’ve had in the department, whether it be working as an undergraduate researcher on hardware that will go to space, mentoring other students as a peer advisor and teaching assistant, or getting hands-on experience as a manufacturing engineering intern for @proctergamble.
