Yesterday evening, the clemsoncollegerep hosted Liz Collins lizcollinnews, an Emmy Award-winning journalist, a former Minneapolis news anchor, and the producer of “The Fall of Minneapolis.” We were also joined by special guest, Dr. JC Chaix, the writer and director of the documentary. Both went into great detail about the destruction of the city after the death of George Floyd. The riots in Minneapolis led to hundreds of officers leaving the police force, which has caused crime to reach record highs. Many protestors joined to voice their displeasure with “The Fall of Minneapolis” and our invited speakers. Ironically, most in attendance who disagreed did not even watch the documentary (as seen in slide 8). We would like to sincerely thank Mrs. Collin and Dr. Chaix for taking the time to share their knowledge and expertise!
