Happy Valentine's Day from Team Alex! 💛 We wanted to share this lovely photo of our Founder, Alex Scott, painting a very special piece titled “Hearts and Stars.” This painting has been around nearly as long as her dream to cure cancer – in 2004, Alex sat down at her kitchen table with a brush and an easel, and let her imagination run free. What she produced was a canvas full of hearts and stars representative of an 8-year-old girl. An 8-year-old girl who’d been fighting cancer for seven years. Her work was simple, yet inspiring. Every year for the Live Auction at the #LemonBall, the painting is released and auctioned by Alex’s family for 11-month rentals. “Hearts & Stars” has raised more than $100,000 for childhood cancer research and has hung in several corporate offices and private homes, plus the Milwaukee Museum of Art for a night.
