“SELAH” - REEL 2023 when I was developing my concept and direction for this, I kept being reminded of the world “selah” from the book of Psalms. Selah is a Hebrew word that does not have an exact translation to English, but there are common thoughts as to what it means, one simply being: to exalt. going back to why I decided on “Selah” as the title, I thought back to my past year as a creative. 2023 was simply life changing for me. the opportunities I had at 18/19 years old were insane, for a lack of better words. it is nothing short of a true blessing for the opportunities, advancements in my skill, and my support i received in 2023. with that, all I can do is praise God, and thank Him for what was done. none of this is the work of me, but all the work of Him and the favor i have received based on the call of my life. there is too many people to thank, so I am going to be brief. - my parents, for being my #1 fan even when they didnt want to - danewutke for pushing me every day ...
