Sheriff’s deputies carried in fresh flowers, court staff acted as ceremony witnesses, and heart-shaped balloons floated near the metal detectors. At the Multnomah County Courthouse on Wednesday, 12 couples were married for the county’s first ever “Love Day” celebration.
