In 1968, Shirley Chisholm shattered barriers as the first Black woman elected to the U.S. Congress. As a founding member of both the Congressional Black Caucus and the National Women's Political Caucus, Chisholm paved the way for future generations of #EJ leaders through her dedication to gender equality and racial justice.
