“Racing and running with NYRR has given me the confidence to keep at it, aim higher, and to face new challenges that I might never have dared to take on.” Meet Paul Racine👋, an NYRR member since 1994 who has run over 300 NYRR races and is also a member of frontrunnersny. In 1994, when he was 47, he said a friend got him to try running. That same friend then encouraged him to join #FRNY and to run #NYRR races. “A weekend race in the ‘90s was 500 or so entrants who lined up by the honor system according to pace signs held by volunteers. There were no timing chips, there were only gun times. Split times were called out by volunteers at each mile.” Running with Front Runners New York has given Paul the camaraderie that helps him stay motivated to keep running into his 70s. 💪 “Front Runners has been my family for 30 years now.
