Last weekend it was awesome to see old friends that I haven’t seen in about 20 years. stretch_nj and kris10woska grew up in #Rahway with me and I used to go to their house to watch wwe pay per views. In addition, Rich ran a backyard wrestling federation that I was a part of from 1999-2001 when we were teenagers. Kristen was our ring announcer, running audio and entrance music on a cassette deck on a boombox 😂 Yes, we are the reason for the disclaimer at the beginning of WWE programming: please don’t try this at home. Of everyone involved back then, I’m the only one who went into wrestling and entertainment, but I always reflect back to being a 13 year old trying to be a performer with a bunch of other teens. Needless to say, it was great to see them and catch up a bit in the midst of the madness of Bananaland.
