The 40th Annual Lighthouse 5K & Fun Run is this Saturday, February 17 — hosted by the Junior Service League of St. Augustine (JSL). This group saved the Keepers’ House in the 1980s, and then asked the Coast Guard if they could also help preserve the St. Augustine Lighthouse, which they did by establishing a nonprofit organization — now the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum!
