AsiaSF, a landmark bar and restaurant in San Francisco that has served as a beacon for transgender inclusivity 🏳️‍⚧️, has officially announced that it will be closing its doors permanently after 26 years of business. ⁠ ⁠ First opened in 1998, AsiaSF is a bar and restaurant known for hosting cabaret shows, like the “World-Famous Transgender Ladies Of AsiaSF.” Larry Hashbarger, the co-owner of AsiaSF, noted that the restaurant was inspired by friend’s gender transition in Thailand.
