1. LIGHTING💡 - A meticulously staged property and stabilized footage is only half the battle for clean cinematic real estate videos.
Poor Lighting & Camera settings can make or break your video.
When shooting real estate, you WILL have multiple light sources at different temperatures and exposure limits. This will affect your white-balance and highlights!
A good rule of thumb is to have your exposure meter in -.3 to +.3 range at all times, going past ONLY when it’s absolutely necessary.
2. SHOOT FLAT OR LOG 🪵 - Using the standard profiles on your camera usually does the trick when filming everyday content, that DOES NOT apply to real estate videos entirely.
Shooting flat or Log footage gives you more dynamic range!
When executed correctly, you’re able to grade and reveal the look you want while retaining the window details instead of them being blown out!
