Listen as a member of the newly named Yowlumni Pack in California howls into the night, captured by a CA Department of Fish and Wildlife trail camera. 🐺 The pack was just discovered late this past summer living near the Tule River Tribe Reservation and is the eighth known family of wolves to have become established in California since wolves returned to the state in 2011. Based on the department’s count, California is currently home to around 45 wolves including adults, yearlings and pups of the year.
