Dominican Republic made history today, qualifying to their first ever major tournament by beating Guyana. Kat González is the hero, scoring a golázo from outside of the 18-yard-box. “This is unreal feeling. This is history and putting DR on the map means the world to us,” she said. 🇩🇴 Full name Kathrynn González Sosa, she was born and raised in Pennsylvania. After playing college soccer at East Carolina University and Marshall University, she went off to Europe last year to turn pro with Thisted in Denmark. She’s entrenched her name in the Dominican history forever. 👏🏾 Dominican Republic will have a couple days of rest, before playing against the USWNT in the W Gold Cup group stage. They will then take on México and Argentina. Best of luck to Las Quisqueyanas, which feature 18 Dominican-Americans 🇩🇴🇺🇸 [Via Anthony Kyaw] #wgoldcup #dominicanrepublic #uswnt #nwsl #ussoccer #sedofutbol
