#Repost @megnordmann Book ❤️. ・・・ Later in the day—back to being sprawled out on the floor. This time, with new books! We visited the library today & loaded up on new stories for the holidays 📚📚📚 The grandparents & aunties are coming into town tomorrow, so there will be lots of volunteers to read to her, I’m sure! 📕 We re-checked out “Little Monkey Calms Down”, which is her favorite book of all time, apparently. It’s about a monkey who needs to take a deep breath & cuddle his blankie & sing quietly, to calm down from being sad & mad & angry. This book has been AMAZING for diffusing toddler tantrums!!! 😮😮 If she’s upset, she goes & gets the book. If the book isn’t around, we just recite it (mom & dad have it memorized backwards & forwards now...). 🙌🏻 I’m taking this as a lesson & will look for more books that speak to her emotions or address toddler problems.
