Nobody could stop Amarillo's Burl Bufkin back in the day. The 1972 Texas High School Hall of Fame inductee scored 163 points as a senior and was also considered the best linebacker in the state. Bufkin played collegiately at Washington and served with the FBI during World War II. He died on Aug. 15, 1996, at age 84.
