Environmental Geology ๐ง
Pictured: GE 207 students on a recent field trip to the just Water bottling plant in Queensbury, New York, where they learned how the company produces portable water solutions with minimal environmental impact.
In this course, students investigate Earth's environments as viewed through the study of surficial and crustal geologic processes with emphasis on natural and anthropogenic phenomena including earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, landslides, climate change, soil erosion, pollution, waste management, and energy resources.
Field trips like these highlight geologic perspectives on the environment for students taking the class.
