Summer at the opera 🎶 Meet Austin, a rising senior at Skidmore. This summer, Austin is working alongside the producing team at Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera: one of the nation's leading promotors of professional musical theater. As Producing Intern, Austin's responsibilities span a wide range and often contribute to both the administrative and artistic worlds of CLO. On any given day, you can find him floating between the office and rehearsal room, performing various clerical projects, attending production meetings, preparing materials for incoming casts and creatives, and relaying information to the company's associate producer. On the internship, Austin said: "I was thrilled to step into the role of Artistic Fellow for a week by assisting the director of the beloved Sondheim musical 'Into the Woods.'
