A CROCKETT COMEBACK: On Friday night, the JV Knights played their second-to-last game of the regular season, a rematch against the Crockett Cougars. The first set was very close but went the Cougars' way. In the second set, McCallum clawed its way back in the match, winning the second set, 25-22. Ultimately, the Cougars won the third set tiebreaker and therefore the match, 2-1. "I think we went into it kind of not expecting that much from them, but I think that they've grown a lot over the season," junior Bella Gonzales said. "We needed to work hard in that game, and I think we came into it thinking we would win very easily. It was a very slow start, and we came back in the second set, but we didn't seal the deal." The Knights take on Ann Richards tomorrow night in their final game of the season. The freshman play at 5:30 p.m., the JV at 6:30 and the varsity at 7:30 p.m. The varsity will clinch the district title and an undefeated district record with a win. Caption by Julia Cop...
