EVEN MATCH: Tonight at House Park, the JV Knights and the Travis Rebels battled to a 14-14 tie. Karon Lewis scored the first touchdown of the game, which was followed by a two point conversion on a pass from Miles Chilton to Joaquin Kinard. Travis scored the second touchdown of the game to make the score 8-6. The Knights defended their end zone and stopped the Rebels from scoring any extra points before the half. In the last minute of the first half, Chilton scored a touchdown giving the Knights a 14-6 lead at halftime, but the two point conversion was unsuccessful. Neither team scored in the third quarter, but Travis tied up the score in the last four minutes of the game. “It felt so bad to tie,” Chilton said. “We couldn’t get in on offense and had stupid penalties.” The Knights play Eastside at Noack next Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Caption by Isley Cameron.
