HASTA LA(GO) VISTA BABY: The girls JV basketball team beat the Lago Vista Vikings 25-16 tonight at DCG. Sophomore Savannah Doerr says the team didn’t feel very confident going into the game but quickly realized they have what it takes to beat a non-district team. “The game went really well,” Doerr said. “We went into it with not so positive of an attitude, but once we realized that we got it, our mindset changed.” Doerr says they worked well on both ends of the floor and feel prepared to resume district competition. “We did really well on our defense, and we executed our offense really well,” she said. “We’re ready for LBJ on Tuesday.” The JV girls basketball team will face off against the LBJ Jaguars in a district rematch next Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Caption by Lillian Gray.
