RAPTORS 11, KNIGHTS 4: The varsity softball team lost to the LASA Raptors Friday night at Butler Field. After a scoreless first inning, the Raptors struck for five runs in the top of the second, thanks to some timely hitting and strategic baserunning. The Knights rallied for one run in the bottom of the second but could do no more against the Raptors’ dominant pitching. The Raptors restored their five-run margin with a run in the top of the third and shut out the Knights in the bottom half.  The Raptors scored three more in the fourth and two in the fifth. The Knights rallied for three more runs but could get no closer as they dropped the game 11-4 to fall to 2-2 in district play after four games. Photos and reporting by Julia Copas.  #txhssoftball
