JV KNIGHTS 2, RAIDERS 0: The JV volleyball team beat host Northeast 2-0 on Tuesday Aug. 29. Sophomore Valeria Villafuerte says that the team won the first set by 10 points because it had good hitting, thanks to effective teamwork. “Our team communication was good,” Villaferte said. “We needed to talk more during the game to not let that ball drop.” The Knights finished a two-set sweep by winning the second set, 25-16. After victories over LBJ last Friday and Navarro this evening, the JV will travel to Wimberley this weekend for the TexFest Tournament. Caption by Hadlee Varela. Photos by Julia Copas.
