The freshman A volleyball team defeated the host Navarro Vikings decisively on Tuesday in two lopsided sets. The Knights captured the first set by a 17-point margin at 25-8. Freshman Lyla Manners said it wasn't expected to be such a quick set. “While we all worked hard for the win,” Manners said. “We didn't realize how much of a lead we had until the first set [ended].” The Vikings managed to compete better in the second set, reaching double digits, but the Knights still won comfortably, 25-13, ending the game with a 2-0 sweep. The freshman A squad hopes to keep its winning streak going this Friday when it hosts the LASA Raptors at 5:30 p.m. at home. Photos by Julia Copas. Caption by Hadlee Varela.
