LINK crew welcomed freshmen into the cafeteria Thursday and Friday evening for Winter Wonder Brains, an opportunity to study for finals among peers and upperclassmen. Junior Isley Cameron volunteered at the English table Thursday. “It was a much bigger turnout than we anticipated,” Cameron said. “It was so rewarding to see kids actually show up and work together.” There were rewards in it for the freshmen, too. The cafeteria stage was stocked with cookies, hot cocoa, whipped cream, sprinkles, and candy canes. LINK crew leaders acted as impromptu waiters and waitresses as they tutored. “I spent my time walking around, helping out where I could and serving snacks to the freshmen,” Cameron said.
